We are delighted that your child will be starting at St Denys in September 2024. We will be contacting you shortly with all the starting information you need. In the meantime, you will find lots of information below and on other pages of our website.
Our 'Welcome Session for Parents and Carers' is taking place on Thursday June 6th at 6.00 pm in our school hall. We will be sharing lots of information with you and giving out our 'Starting School Welcome Pack'. We would be grateful if you could contact the school via telephone on 02380 556982 or via email at info@stdenysprimary.co.uk to let us know whether you are able to attend. If you cannot make our welcome meeting, we will arrange for you to pick up a pack from school.
Starting school is such an important time for children and parents and at St Denys, we work hard to make sure your child is familiar with the school and their classroom before they start in September. We have arranged three activity sessions for you to to visit the school and meet our wonderful Rainbow Class team. The sessions are on:-
It is our normal practice for the class teacher and teaching assistant to visit the children at home in the week before they start school to say hello and answer any questions you or your child might have. A letter will be given to you at our induction meeting with a suggested day and time. If this is not convenient, please let us know. Our Home Visits will take place between Tuesday 3rd September and Monday 9th September.
