Year 3

Welcome to Class 3.

In Class 3 you will find Miss Davies, Miss Tarling, Miss Whitley and Ms Miller. We are all so excited about seeing you all again!

I hope you have all had an amazing summer holidays! I can't wait to hear all the fun things you have been up to. Welcome to our first half term as Class 3! We have many fun times ahead.

Snack

- Please bring in your own fruit or vegetable snack for break time if you would like. Please ensure your snack pot is labelled to ensure it does not get lost.

- Please bring in your own water bottle to ensure you stay hydrated throughout the day.

P.E

Our P.E day is going to be on a Tuesday. Please ensure you come to school on a Tuesday wearing the appropriate PE kitHouse coloured T -Shirt (not football shirts), shorts, leggings or tracksuit trousers and  trainers or shoes that are suitable for sport. If you wear earrings, please make sure these are removed for your PE day or taped up before coming to school.

Curriculum Information

Here are some of the exciting things Year 3 will be learning this half term!

Home Learning

Please find attached Home Learning Booklet for Year 3. You can post pictures of your activities straight to Class Dojo or do your activities in your orange home learning book and bring it in to school. Times tables are super important in Year 3 (and every other year) as it is the foundation for all their maths calculations so it's really important to practice these at home. Also, please make sure children are reading regularly at home, independently and out loud to someone else if possible.

Autumn 2!

It seems crazy to think that we are already in our second half term - time is flying. This term we've got lots of exciting things planned and our topics are really engaging. We even have a trip this half term which you will have more information about closer to the date. Just a couple of things:

- P.E is still on a Tuesday to please send children into school in their P.E kits

- Please can children bring in a plastic water bottle

- Please can children have a snack consisting of only fruit and vegetables.

Check our class story on Class Dojo for regular updates!

Below, I have attached the new curriculum update and the Autumn 2 home learning booklet. It would be great to see more children completing home learning this half term! 5 dojos are up for grabs if I see completed work.

Thanks again for your continued support. We are now officially on the countdown to Christmas!

Spring 2

I can not believe we are into Spring 2 already. Time is flying and the children have coped extremely well with being back in full time education again. Their work ethic and want to learn never fails to amaze me - keep up the hard work, Class 3!

Summer 1

Wow, we are entering into our final term of Year 3! This is a shorter half term too (5 weeks) so it will be May half term before we know it. This half term is very much the same as last: children still need their P.E kits on a Tuesday and if they could continue to bring in a reusable water bottle and a fruit or vegetable snack, that would be brilliant. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Summer 2

We are now entering in to the final half term of Year 3. The children have worked unbelievably hard since September and I am incredibly proud of them. Our hard work will continue into Summer 2 and we have even more exciting topics and learning to come in preparation for Year 4.
